Dr. Angela K. Chambers is a trailblazing entrepreneur and community leader based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. As the founder and CEO of The Greenwood Beat – WFPG, she established Oklahoma’s first women-owned radio station, amplifying voices and stories from the historic Greenwood District, also known as Black Wall Street. Beyond broadcasting, Dr. Chambers is a serial entrepreneur with ventures spanning printing, publishing, trucking, and jewelry. She is the founder of 918 Lady Business Blogger, which produces the new digital magazine Business Savvy along with business partner, Eric Harris. Her commitment to economic empowerment and civic engagement led her to run for Tulsa City Council District 1, advocating for transparency and community-driven change. Dr. Chambers is a native of McAlester, Oklahoma and has lived in Tulsa over three decades. She’s married to Tim Chambers and is a proud mother, nana, daughter, and auntie.
Meet Starr Fisher
Starr Fisher is co-owner and serves as the Chief Operating Officer of The Greenwood Beat – WFPG, where she is celebrated as for her many talents and creativity. With a background in entertainment and event production, she is a business owner of Black Wall Street Brunch Club, which is also a show on The Greenwood Beat. Starr’s leadership ensures the station’s operations run smoothly, fostering a dynamic platform that uplifts local talent and community. She is also the mother of “Honour Rose,” who is the youngest radio show host in Oklahoma and the first child to have a radio show on the historic Greenwood Avenue: Honour’s Society.
Meet Alvin Muhammad
Minister Alvin Muhammad is the Chief Strategy Officer at The Greenwood Beat – WFPG. A passionate advocate for economic empowerment and truth telling. He shares is knowledge, insights, and wisdom on his weekly show, “Trumpet on Greenwood.” HE consistently speaks out against the injustices affecting historic Greenwood, the black community, our children’s education and Tulsa in general. His strategic vision is instrumental in expanding the station’s reach and impact. He serves on the Advisory Board of The Greenwood Chamber of Commerce, aiming to bridge the gap between minority-owned businesses and local, county, state and federal opportunities.
Minister Muhammad is a business owner who mentors and teaches lawn care skills to young men and women. Minister Alvin Muhammad is the wonderful husband to Angelia Barnet and is a proud father and grandfather. He is a native to Tulsa and a Veteran.
