Big News for The Greenwood Beat – WFPG

The Greenwood Beat – WFPG, Oklahoma’s first women-owned and black woman-owned radio station, located in the Historic Greenwood District in Tulsa, has some exciting news to share. Since its launch, the station has been steadily gaining listenership locally and internationally, thanks to its great mix of music and engaging talk shows.

One of the station’s goals is to empower communities by providing information and education, and they are taking a significant step towards achieving this. Starting in February, Dr. Yvette Miller will host a segment on The Greenwood Beat – WFPG, focusing on Sickle Cell Disease. Listeners can expect to hear explanations about the disease, its treatment, and the crucial role of blood donation from the community. The station is thrilled to partner with the American Red Cross to provide information, education, and community events, including blood drives, to help enhance and potentially save the lives of those living with Sickle Cell Disease.

The Greenwood Beat is committed to keeping its listeners informed and engaged. With 24/7 programming, you can tune in from your favorite device and stay connected for more information and the show’s schedule.
