Seeking Justice for Radiance Peoples

Seeking Justice for Radiance Peoples

On Thursday, July 13, 2023, Lee Peoples, husband of Radiance Peoples was interviewed on the Refocused & Informed Radio Talk Show by show hosts Angela K. Chambers and Francetta L. Mays. Lee Peoples wanted to share his concern regarding the suspicious death of his wife, Radiance and plea with everyone to call and remind the Department of Justice (D.O.J.) of her case.

Peoples described the contact that was made with him by law enforcement. He described the information and updates were very vague and missing of pertinent information. Yet, some of the regular tasks and processes, which should have taken longer appeared to have been rushed. Peoples stated that he was contacted to pick up his wife clothes with no positive confirmation of the case status.

Radiance’s body was discovered in July of 2022 in Garfield County in Oklahoma.

Check out the replay on the replay below:

If you have any information regarding the death of Radiance Peoples, you are urged to contact the local authorities or the D.O.J.   A Google search for information resulted in one story was found regarding her death.

The Greenwood Beat – WFPG Crowdfunding Equipment Fundraiser

The Greenwood Beat – WFPG Crowdfunding Equipment Fundraiser

The crowdfunding Equipment Fundraiser is off to a slow start but Angela K. Chambers and Francetta L. Mays are hopeful to meet their goal. Angela says, “I believe that as people hear of our story and When they realize that in 2023 we made history by creating the first black, female-owned radio station they will support us. In general, women have a more challenging fete to obtain and even having access to capital. But also when we are in 2023 and ‘blacks’ are still making history by being the first of anything tells me to remain hopefully.”

Echoing and adding to Angela’s sentiment, Francetta says, “As people hear our passion and understand what we are striving for I believe the support will come. The more people even just sharing the story helps to reach the people who are passionate about changing the world we live in today for the better.”

The Greenwood Beat – WFPG is “A Voice for Greenwood.”  Angela says, “And WFPG gives all of us the opportunity to discover the story and build on the resilience of Greenwood while recreating Black Wall Street and a better mankind. It’s not necessary to continue to pour gasoline on the fire of 1921 as Francetta always says.”

Consider making a donation to The Greenwood Beat – WFPG GoFundMe crowdfunding Equipment Fundraiser.  Any size donation is welcome. According to Franetta L. Mays, also an Associate Pastor at the Historic Vernon AME Church (Vernon), “In the Book of Redemption located in Vernon, the people were able to rebuild in one year’s time with donations as small as $0.10.” Share the link with your family, friends and networks.
