Lyric’s triumph is not only a victory for her university and team, but it’s also a moment of immense pride for The Greenwood Beat family. She is the beloved niece of our Co-Owner and Chief Operations Officer, Starr Fisher, making this win deeply personal and celebratory across our entire network.

Lyric Love – First Place – Women’s Hammer Throw at the SWAC Championship

The SWAC (Southwestern Athletic Conference) Championship is one of the most prestigious athletic competitions in collegiate sports, and Lyric’s record-setting performance cements her status as a rising star in track and field. Her focus, power, and dedication continue to inspire young athletes, especially women of color pursuing greatness in sports.

Tito, a cherished figure, made a significant return to his roots in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he planned several endeavors to uplift the historic Greenwood District.
