Supporting black media firms is crucial in correcting and creating history that includes us. Black media plays a vital role in providing information and telling our stories. It sheds light on the other side of history that has not been readily known for generations.

One such black media firm is The Greenwood Beat – WFPG, a pioneering black, women-owned radio station in Oklahoma. This remarkable achievement alone is reason enough for the entire community, city, and state to support it.

The Greenwood Chamber of Commerce (GCC) has just released the highly anticipated itinerary for their upcoming 3rd Annual World Class Winter Gala. Taking place on December 9, 2023, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Tulsa – Warren Place, this gala promises to be an unforgettable evening of elegance and fun.

Starting at 4:45 pm, the event kicks off with registration, followed by a delightful cocktail hour and silent auction at 5:00 pm. Guests will have the opportunity to mingle and bid on an array of exciting items while enjoying delicious drinks.

At 6:00 pm, the ballroom doors will open, revealing a stunning setting for the gala. The program officially begins at 6:15 pm, featuring a lineup of local, regional, and national partner presentations. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the GCC’s important work and the impact it has on the Greenwood District.

As the evening progresses, guests will be treated to a delectable dinner served promptly at 6:30 pm. The menu promises to be a culinary delight, offering a variety of delicious options to suit every palate.

At 6:45 pm, the much-anticipated awards ceremony will commence. This is the perfect moment to recognize and honor individuals and businesses who have made significant contributions to the Greenwood District. It is a time to celebrate their achievements and show appreciation for their dedication.
