The Gospel Diva Shonda English to Host “Gospel In The Park” This Labor Day in Sumter, SC

The Greenwood Beat – WFPG is proud to spotlight one of our own, The Gospel Diva herself, Shonda English, as she prepares to host one of the most uplifting events of the season — Gospel In The Park! Set to take place Labor Day, Monday, September 1, 2025, from 12 PM to 6 PM, this powerful celebration of faith and music will be held at Bishop W.T. English Memorial Park, located at 3735 Congruity Road in Sumter, South Carolina (Gable Community).

Known across the airwaves for her dynamic, spirit-filled radio show broadcast on The Greenwood Beat – WFPG, Shonda English is not only a beloved voice but a pillar in the gospel music community. Now, she’s bringing her signature energy and inspiration from the mic to the main stage!

This year’s Gospel In The Park lineup is nothing short of stellar, featuring special guests Doc McKenzie & The Hi-Lites, Lemmie Battles, Jessica “Powerhouse” Anderson, Kelvin Hastie & The Sumter Community Choir, Min. Lee Burgess & Resurrection, The Gospel Spiritual-Ettes, The Singing Angels, Elijah Bradford & Purpose Driven, The Spiritual Brothers, Jacqueline Jenkins, and Mr. Thaddeus, with a special feature from Shonda English & Company and The Old Landmark Gospel Choir.
