The Greenwood Beat – WFPG Celebrates Honour Rose’s Appearance on News On 6’s Coca-Cola Porch
The Greenwood Beat – WFPG is thrilled to celebrate our very own Honour Rose, the dynamic 8-year-old host of Honour’s Society, who was featured as a special guest on News On 6’s Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages Porch this Friday morning.
Broadcasting live from downtown Tulsa, the Coca-Cola Porch segment spotlights inspiring community voices, and Honour’s appearance was a shining example of young talent making a big impact. As the youngest radio host in Oklahoma history, Honour shared her journey of launching Honour’s Society, the state’s first children’s radio show, which airs Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. on The Greenwood Beat.
During her segment, Honour spoke about her passion for reading, food reviews, and interviewing community leaders—from Tulsa Mayor Monroe Nichols to music legend Pastor Stephen Wiley. She also highlighted her mission to inspire other kids to explore books, try new foods, and give back to their communities.
Honour’s appearance on the Coca-Cola Porch not only showcased her vibrant personality and dedication to uplifting others but also brought well-deserved attention to the historic Black Wall Street, where her show is proudly produced.
We are incredibly proud of Honour and her growing platform. Her voice is a beacon of hope, creativity, and community spirit, and we can’t wait to see where her journey takes her next.
Tune in to Honour’s Society every Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. on The Greenwood Beat – WFPG, and join us in supporting this remarkable young leader.
