The Greenwood Beat Radio Station Announces Partnership with GRAND Mental Health to Provide Counseling Services Following Juneteenth Weekend Tragedy

Tulsa, Oklahoma – June 23, 2025 – In response to the recent tragic shootings that occurred in the historic Greenwood district during Juneteenth weekend, the owners of the Greenwood Beat Radio Station, Dr. Angela Chambers and Starr Fisher are proud to announce a partnership with GRAND Mental Health. This collaboration aims to provide essential counseling services to individuals, families, and the community at large, helping them navigate the profound emotional impact of this senseless act of gun violence.

The therapy clinic will offer weekly counseling sessions, creating a safe space for community members to process their grief, trauma, and feelings of loss. With the recent events weighing heavily on the hearts of many, we recognize the urgent need for mental health support and are committed to ensuring that help is accessible to all.

“We understand that the aftermath of such violence leaves deep scars, not only on the individuals directly affected but on the entire community,” said Starr Fisher. “Our partnership with GRAND Mental Health is a vital step in fostering healing and resilience. We encourage families, individuals, and especially teens and young adults, to seek the support they deserve without fear or hesitation.” Said Dr. Angela Chambers.

Counseling services will be available to everyone in the community, regardless of their background or circumstances. We believe that mental health is just as important as physical health, and it is critical to address the emotional wounds caused by these traumatic events.
