As Tulsa’s historic and trailblazing woman-owned radio station, The Greenwood Beat continues to champion powerful voices and truth-tellers in the community — and Raittia Rogers is undoubtedly one of them.

From opening night to curtain close, Raittia’s groundbreaking playwright, which dives deep into the emotional and spiritual journey of liberation from mental, emotional, and physical “prisons,” has captivated audiences with truth, pain, healing, and hope. The cast — a mix of first-time performers and gifted community members — delivered unforgettable performances that stirred the soul and encouraged powerful conversations long after the final bow.

On the final evening of the opening weekend, the energy in the building was electric. The Greenwood Beat’s own Dr. Angela K. Tulsa, OK — When powerful words meet purpose, the impact is unforgettable—and Karen Robinson, known in creative circles as KayRobi, is a perfect example of that dynamic. A native of Chicago, KayRobi will be featured in the 2025 Juneteenth Poetry Showcase hosted by The Greenwood Beat – WFPG, performing her original piece, “Hear With Your Heart.”

A writer since the age of 12, KayRobi has long used her voice to challenge systems, inspire change, and connect people through the written word. Her work has been published in several outlets, with a strong focus on law enforcement reform and social justice advocacy. Her poetry reflects lived experience, deep compassion, and an unwavering commitment to truth.

Now residing in Dallas, Texas, she continues to inspire not just through her writing but also through motherhood—raising her talented daughter, vocal artist 444 Dust, who is carving her own powerful path in the music industry.
