That’s why it is so important to collectively advertise with a large platform such as WFPG.”

Angela also stated, “The Greenwood Beat – WFPG” was created so that small businesses’ would be promoted as we advertise on larger platforms and a various platforms. We’re not just advertising on social media and radio, but we will also advertise on television, billboards, vehicles and print.”

The Greenwood Beat – WFPG Crowdfunding Equipment Fundraiser

The crowdfunding Equipment Fundraiser is off to a slow start but Angela K. Chambers and Francetta L. Mays are hopeful to meet their goal. Angela says, “I believe that as people hear of our story and When they realize that in 2023 we made history by creating the first black, female-owned radio station they will support us. In general, women have a more challenging fete to obtain and even having access to capital. But also when we are in 2023 and ‘blacks’ are still making history by being the first of anything tells me to remain hopefully.”

Echoing and adding to Angela’s sentiment, Francetta says, “As people hear our passion and understand what we are striving for I believe the support will come. The more people even just sharing the story helps to reach the people who are passionate about changing the world we live in today for the better.”

The Greenwood Beat – WFPG is “A Voice for Greenwood.”  Angela says, “And WFPG gives all of us the opportunity to discover the story and build on the resilience of Greenwood while recreating Black Wall Street and a better mankind.
