Let’s support the first black female-owned radio station in Oklahoma! The Greenwood Beat – WFPG
WFPG launched June 8, 2023 in the Historic Greenwood District AKA The Original Black Wall Street located in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
All eyes are on Greenwood after Americans are learning and sharing the story of the 1921 Race Massacre that happened in Tulsa on Greenwood, which destroyed 35 square miles of black owned businesses and homes.
Dr. Angela K. Chambers started The Greenwood Beat – WFPG with friend, business partner and prayer warrior partner Dr. Francetta L. Mays. Together they have created an amazing platform to aid in bridging the community, families, organizations and agencies for a better Tulsa for all.
The station has programming for 24/7, 365 days per year consisting of music, radio shows, inspiration, education, history and sports.
Both ladies host the Refocused and Informed Radio Talk Show, which is the anchor show. Angela serves as the Chief Executive Officer and recently surprised Francetta, Chief Operations Officer and listeners with the news of the show’s syndication.
Refocused and Informed Radio Talk Show is in its 2nd season of broadcasting. The show is about “Justice.” The weekly show interviews guest and discusses a wide range of topics tying to justice. Some of those conversations get hot! The ladies are passionate about their work and ask and discuss those tough issues.
Refocused and Informed broadcast every Thursday, 2-3 PM CST on The Greenwood Beat – WFPG.
“Trumpet on Greenwood” is a weekly broadcast promoting the Life Giving Teachings of The Honorable Elijah Muhammad as represented by The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan.
Hosted my Student Minister Alvin Muhammad. Alvin Muhammad has been a member of the Nation of Islam for now 30 years, serving as Lieutenant, Captain, Secretary and Minister.
Join every Sunday at 1:30 pm cst, grow into a great understanding of the Teachings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad.
“Flippin’ the Script” hosted by Francetta L. Mays gives a voice to those who are incarcerated and are fighting for their freedom or being awareness to their case. The show broadcasts every Sunday at 3PM CST.
The Referea with Heather Nicole Nash every Tuesday at 7PM. The entertaining show is about SMACK talking between Heather and co-host Burnie discussing women’s sports.
